Sitting on the No 37 Bus , one hears all sort of things that passengers comment upon in the morning.  The main topic of conversation this last week or so  is the riots. If, like me, you only hear about them on the tele/radio, and read about them in the papers, then we are fed information through edited story lines. 

The last riots I can recall happen when a protest over Poll Tax turned nasty and the streets of London were the battle ground.  I believe the Iron Lady was in power then.  This was stopped and there was some damage, even some looting but, when it stopped there certainly wasn’t the witch hunt there is today. Not that they shouldn’t let these people off, criminal acts should be caught and punished.

To my mind. Riots stum from protest.
